Dear children,
I want to thank you for all coming down for the christmas party.
Tho the video was too soft at parts, (GOOD JOB STILL HARESH,CROSBY,SAM, JEG)
tho there were many chocolates for xmas exchange ( & thus none of u wanted to "steal" others' presents)
tho some of you may groan cos i was being a party pooper - reminding you all about being prepared for the new yr to come,
i really enjoyed myself and having you all arnd. the noise, the laughter, the screaming & laughters.
For the last minute help where everyone just chipped in to buy something ( like we ended up having like 10 packs/tins of chips.. ) and so much additional food - i hoped you all had fun.
Special thx to my planning com & food com pple for specially coming down to plan & prepare and clear up for me.. even Andrea helped in the washing! =p. well done everyone.
And tau, it was just a little something to let you know that the class appreciates you.
There is so much more I want to tell you tho - which I've decided to blog about instead.
When I shared with you abt going into battle and the 2 impt things abt :
1) being prepared
No army goes into battle without putting on their armour, sharpening their weaponry for battle. it is a process of preparation for victory in a battle. it is the earlier preparations that make the army ready to face whatever that comes forth in a fight.
Similarly, start preparing yourself mentally & physically for 2009. Put on your armour - make your preparations so that when the time comes for battle (FIGHT THE EXAMS! haha.) you will not be caught off-guard,but your armour and weaponry is all in place.
The new yr is a beginning when you can start afresh and try to catch up with work you had left behind. It is a new begining for those of you who had felt that you had done things wrongly in 2008. Don't repeat the mistakes that you had made. Start early and continually revise your work. Consistent is the key word.This is so impt cos I know so many of you are very heavily involved in your CCAs and time is jus so precious to you. Start developing a habit of studying. Don't allow yourself to be un-prepared due to procrastination, the time line is just so short.
2) being united
You all play a part in determining what 08S26 is going to be like - let's work for 08S26 to be a POSITIVELY CHARGED AND STUDYING CLASS! i noe.. u all are rolling your eyes at me. We can all work and play hard together. =) We had played hard in the end of 2008 with our xmas party. We will try to create opportunities to come tog to play together, but i hope u will also gear urself to work hard together. When you have a fellow pal to spur you on to work hard together, it always seem more bearable. The journey to the A levels is not short, there will be times when you will be discouraged, we'll hang in there together. =p
I can say so much, but really, it all depends on you guys.
Let's not be a class that just plays together, but let's be a class that also works together.
For it is said, those who sow generously will reap generously but those who sow sparingly will reap sparingly.
Let's do our best to sow generously so that we may also reap generously!
So not only for you, I also need to put aside all distractions to prepare my heart & mind for yr 2009.
A year where we will all strive to be the best that we can. Let's take this time till the start of sch to get our things ready-dust your files which have been shelved aside for the past 2 months, pack your pencil boxes & sch bags, flip thru your notes to read what you've covered but most imptly, prepare your heart & mind to face the new yr, hopefully with enthusiasm, cos the yr may be tough, but i pray you will find joy in studying. i was blessed to actually enjoy the subjects that i had taken when i was in J2. i hope you will begin to find joy in your subjects too.
